Late Summer Blooms
Experience the Magic of Late Summer
This painting was inspired by a visit to Pinnacle Farms in Western North Carolina late last summer, during their enchanting “Sunset You Pick” event. Walking so carefully through the flower fields, the vibrant colors and sweet, musky scent of late summer created an unforgettable atmosphere. With my love by my side, every step felt like a shared appreciation of nature’s fleeting beauty.
This would be my first of what I hope are many uneven walks in the flower fields. New adventures blooming as we feel the soil beneath our feet.
This piece captures the brilliance of late-summer blooms, evoking a sense of gratitude and wonder for the natural world. It serves as a reminder to slow down, embrace the moment, and find joy in the simple yet extraordinary splendor that surrounds us.
Painted on 12x12 Arches archival 140 lb. cold-press watercolor paper, this artwork features professional-grade Daniel Smith watercolors. Delicate iridescent highlights bring depth to the purple lowlights, adding a subtle, ethereal quality to the composition.
I feel truly blessed to channel nature’s beauty into this piece, and I hope it resonates with you as deeply as it does with me.
